Biography:
Carol Hockridge has been an athlete since childhood, and participated in competitive sports in high school and college. A collegiate-level swimmer, and with a background in dance, gymnastics and track, she took an aerobics class (yes,in the '80's!) and has never looked back. A Reebok Aerobic Champion in '92/'93, she instructed and trained using cycling and inline skating to cross-train and ease the boredom. Cycling and indoor spin instructing became a renewed passion, and she has landed here in East Sac. with her own studio. Instructing Pilates, cycling and group exercise for 20 years, it is a dream realized. The Kid Kinetics program that was developed by her is a love that is not translated well on paper. With passion, energy and joy she teaches her classes and trains her clients. College educated, Instructor certified and most of all motivated to be healthy, fit and to live life well.
Mission Statement:
I am committed to providing cutting-edge training and exercise programs that are safe, effective and functional. I am focused on educating and motivating my clients to be the best that they can be and to love and respect their physical and mental capabilities. My philosophy is straight forward, time efficient workouts with logical and therapy-related evaluations. Each individual is treated as such, and personal attention is the core of the business.
My goal is to continue the path of integrity that Joseph Pilates has presented and to encourage others to continually improve their lives and in turn the lives of those around them through a positive, healthy lifestyle.
